The Violence Prevention Initiative is coordinated by the Women's Policy Office and fosters partnerships through collaboration with Departments and Agencies, a Community Advisory Committee, Regional Coordinating Committees, Provincial Organizations, Additional Community Stakeholders, and Aboriginal Governments and Organizations.

Regional Coordinating Committees exist in ten regions of the province. They provide core services in information and referral, public education, training and outreach, and community leadership, coordination and accountability.

The role of provincial organizations is to provide advice to Government on matters pertaining to issues related to their specific mandate and/or advice on issues which are provincial in scope.
