The Registry performs a number of services related to both criminal and civil case processing and court operations in the Supreme Court. The authority for the appointment of the Registrar, Deputy Registrars and Assistant Deputy Registrars lies in The Judicature Act.


Responsible for: 
  • Receiving, filing and having custody of all pleadings, petitions, reports, affidavits, bonds, notices, judgments and other papers and proceedings in every action or suit, matter and proceeding in the Court;
  • Signing all orders and judgments of the Court;
  • Sealing and signing all letters of probate, letters of administration, letters of guardianship that have been ordered by the Court or a judge;
  • Collecting fees set out in the Rules of Court;
  • Releasing garnishee orders, issuing subpoenas to debtors, taxing bills of costs, and settling orders; and
  • Making declarations as to the state of title of land.
