A final agreement will send a strong signal to the global business community that Newfoundland and Labrador and its Aboriginal peoples can co-operate to make tough decisions and face change when it is necessary for growth. This in turn will position the Province as a good place to do business.

Land claims settlements will also support greater self-reliance for the Labrador Inuit and the Innu. It will provide more money for the people and Aboriginal communities in Labrador.
