The PANL Still Images collection contains more
than 400,000 photographic items including, not only a large
collection of photographic prints, but also a large
collection of glass plate negatives. The collection also
contains a quantity of examples of earlier forms of still images
such as daguerreotypes, ambrotypes and tintypes. There are also
glass lantern slides, film negatives, slides and albums.
We have provided a selection of images from our holdings in
ten subject areas. There are many more available and our
work in making them available on this Web site is on-going. If you see an image you like, and are interested in acquiring
