Copywork A precision copy neg is made of any original of which no negative exists, eg. original print or document. All Glass Plate and Cellulose Nitrate negs are copied. Copywork required per order is billed to the client. Digital Reproduction Services Scans ideal for research from original or copy images up to 8 x 10, (300 dpi), simple tonal corrections included. In Grayscale or Colour. Retouching not included. Note: certain originals may require copywork prior to scanning. Digital Retouching and Restoration Price includes one scan, one output, and labour (rate $50.00 per hour); Completion time by quote only. Description Price - Starting at Basic: removing dust marks, scratches, etc starting at $50.00 Extended: reconstruction of major damage starting at $75.00 Tonal Correction, colour correction, or colorization starting at $60.00

 

Chemical Toning:

SEPIA Toning protects the image and recreates that brown "old original" look - $12.00 per print

SELENIUM Toning protects and preserves new prints from degradation by pollutants. Recommended for FB archival and exhibition photographs, or Special RC prints destined for display. - $12.00 per print

Spotting and Retouching:

Copy negatives are made from unrestored originals. Some copy prints therefore may show scratches, abrasions, tears, spots and other marks that appear on these original photographs. Copy prints will not be spotted or retouched unless requested.

Simple spotting fee:

Prints 8 x 10 and up: $5.00 per print
Extensive retouching and/or restoration: fee is based on $50.00 per hour. By quote only

Hand Colouring or Tinting:

Hand-colouring or tinting with oils, pencils, or watercolour is also available. Prices vary as to print size and degree of complexity, and are quoted on seeing the original. For the best "traditional" hand-coloured appearance, fibre-base matte prints are required.

Other Information: Shipping, Delivery, & Payment Options

• SPECIAL HANDLING, GLASS PLATE / NITRATE FEE: Where special handling or preparation is required eg. fragile originals, glass plates. deframing, or in-frame copying - this charge may be applied. Glass plates and Cellulose Nitrate negs are automatically copied. This charge includes contact, copy neg., and minimally covers this additional work. PER PLATE $20.00
  
  
• RUSH SERVICE: Under 1 week: add 50% of total order; Overnight: add 100% of order.
  
  
• FOREIGN ORDERS: Foreign & USA orders must be prepaid in US funds by certified cheque or postal money order; otherwise shipped on receipt of payment.  For your convenience, all prices are at par.
  
  
• DELIVERY: Most orders will be completed and shipped within 2 weeks of receipt of order from PANL: please allow 5 days for PANL Staff to prepare order for processing by us. Note: Delivery is by hand, mail, or courier only.
  
  
• SHIPPING: Client assumes all shipping, postal and C.O.D. fees. Orders shipped via Canada Post, Expresspost or First Class Mail unless otherwise specified. Courier service on request.
  
  
• PAYMENT: All orders are C.O.D. unless otherwise pre-arranged with M. Buchheit Photography. Third-party billing must be approved and include P.O. Corporate & Institutional Terms: 30 days maximum.
