Voisey's Bay
  • September 1993 - Discovered by Al Chislett and Chris Verbiski.

  • September 1995 - A five person Environmental Assessment Panel is set up to review mine and mill.

  • November 1996 - Inco identified Argentia as the site for the processing facility.

  • August 1999 - Mine and mill / concentrator released from further environmental assessment.

  • January 2000 - Negotiations towards commercial agreement suspended.

  • June 2001 - Government and Inco resumed negotiations towards commercial agreement.
